Objective

  • Flashcards with letters and simple words

Activities

  • Letter Tracing: Practice tracing letters of the alphabet on the whiteboard or paper.

  • Word Hunt: Use flashcards to find objects around the house that start with the same letter.

  • Story Time: Read a fun storybook together and ask questions about the characters and plot.

  • Sight Words: Introduce a few simple sight words and have the student point to them in the storybook.

  • "Let's practice drawing letters like A, B, C! Can you make a big A?"
  • "Wow, you found a ball that starts with the letter B! Great job!"
  • "Who is your favorite character in the story? Let's draw a picture of them!"
  • "Can you point to the word 'cat' in the book? It has three letters!"
