Talking Points

  • What is a choir? A choir is a group of people who sing together to create beautiful music. Singing in a choir is like being part of a team where each person has a special role. As we sing "This is Me," we are like a choir of one!
  • "This is Me" is a powerful song about being proud of who you are and standing up for yourself. When we sing this song, we are celebrating our uniqueness and strength.
  • When we sing, we use our voices as an instrument. Just like playing the piano or the drums, our voice is a special tool that we can use to create music and express our emotions.
  • Listening to the song helps us understand the melody and lyrics. Pay attention to how the singer uses their voice to convey different emotions throughout the song.
  • Practicing singing helps us improve our skills and become better singers. It's okay to make mistakes because that's how we learn and grow. Keep practicing and you'll get better each time!
  • Creating choreography or hand movements adds a fun element to our performance. It helps us express the emotions of the song through our body movements and enhances our overall presentation.
  • Recording yourself singing is a great way to track your progress. You can listen to your recordings and see how you've improved over time. Remember, the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the music!
