Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will learn about camping and have fun pretending to go camping in your own home!
Materials and Prep
Materials needed: blanket, flashlight, stuffed animals, pretend campfire (can be made with construction paper), snacks, camping-themed books.
Make sure to clear a space for your indoor camping adventure!
Activities
- Setting Up Camp: Use the blanket to create a tent or fort. Add stuffed animals inside for camping buddies.
- Nighttime Adventure: Use the flashlight to pretend it's dark outside. Tell stories or read camping books under your "stars".
- Campfire Snack Time: Enjoy some snacks around your pretend campfire. Pretend to roast marshmallows and hot dogs.
- Nature Exploration: Go on a "nature walk" around your home. Look for bugs, leaves, or rocks to collect.
