• Pharaohs were like kings in ancient Egypt, but they were also considered gods on earth. They ruled over the land and were powerful leaders.
• One famous pharaoh is King Tutankhamun, also known as King Tut. He became pharaoh when he was just a boy and is well-known for his tomb filled with treasures.
• Pharaohs built massive pyramids as tombs for themselves, such as the Great Pyramid of Giza. These pyramids were meant to protect the pharaoh's body and belongings for the afterlife.
