Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn about the famous artist Joan Miró and create your own colorful artwork inspired by his style.

Materials and Prep

  • White paper
  • Colorful markers or crayons
  • Internet access to look up Joan Miró's artwork
  • Optional: printouts of Joan Miró's paintings
  • Prepare a workspace for drawing and coloring

Activities

  • Research Joan Miró online and look at his famous paintings. Notice the use of bright colors, simple shapes, and playful elements in his art.

  • Create your own artwork inspired by Joan Miró. Use colorful markers or crayons to draw abstract shapes and symbols on the paper. Let your imagination run wild!

  • If you have printouts of Joan Miró's paintings, try to recreate one of his artworks using your own style and colors.
