Objective
By the end of this lesson, Kelsey will be able to identify and use basic punctuation marks.
Materials and Prep
Materials needed: paper, markers, stickers, and a pencil.
No prior knowledge needed.
Activities
Draw a big smiley face on a piece of paper. Ask Kelsey to add a period at the end of the sentence to make it a complete thought.
Give Kelsey a sentence written without any punctuation. Let her use stickers as punctuation marks to match the correct punctuation to the sentence.
Play a game where Kelsey gets to shout out the punctuation mark needed at the end of each of your sentences.
