Materials and Prep

  • Pen or pencil
  • Open space for physical activities
  • Positive attitude

Activities

  • Role-Playing: Act out different bullying scenarios with a family member or friend. Practice responding confidently.
  • Art Expression: Draw a picture of a superhero version of yourself standing up to a bully. Explain why you chose those specific superpowers.
  • Physical Confidence: Practice standing tall, looking people in the eye, and speaking confidently. You can even do a superhero pose!

Talking Points

  • What is Bullying: "Bullying is when someone is mean to you over and over again on purpose."
  • Types of Bullying: "Bullying can be physical (like hitting), verbal (like name-calling), or social (like leaving someone out on purpose)."
  • How to Respond: "It's important to tell a trusted adult, stand up for yourself calmly, and remember that you are strong and brave."
  • Confidence is Key: "Believe in yourself, use positive self-talk, and remember that you are amazing just the way you are."
  • Empathy and Kindness: "Always treat others with kindness and respect, and remember that everyone deserves to feel safe and happy."
