Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create your own piece of visual art using different materials and techniques, and appreciate the beauty of art around you.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: colored pencils, watercolor paints, paintbrushes, paper, scissors, glue, and any other art supplies you have on hand.

Prep: Set up a comfortable workspace with enough room to spread out your materials.

Activities

1. Create a nature-inspired collage: Go outside and collect leaves, flowers, and other natural items. Use them to create a collage on paper using glue.

2. Watercolor painting: Experiment with blending colors and creating different textures using watercolor paints.

3. Draw your favorite animal: Use colored pencils to draw a detailed picture of your favorite animal, focusing on the textures of its fur or skin.
