Materials and Prep

  • Chocolate bars or pieces
  • Knife for cutting the chocolate
  • Paper plates or napkins
  • Pen and paper for jotting down notes

No prior knowledge required, just come with a sweet tooth and a curious mind!

Activities

  • Activity 1: Cut a chocolate bar into equal parts and discuss what fractions represent.
  • Activity 2: Compare different fractions of chocolate pieces and discuss which is bigger or smaller.
  • Activity 3: Create your own fraction problems using chocolate and solve them together.

Remember, you get to eat the chocolate after each activity!
