Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have explored different countries and cultures through fun activities related to travel.

Materials and Prep

Materials: World map, toy airplanes or cars, pictures of different landmarks, coloring materials.

Prep: Familiarize yourself with a few fun facts about different countries to share during the lesson.

Activities

1. Travel the World: Use the world map to show the student different countries and talk about what makes each place special.

2. Landmark Matching: Show pictures of famous landmarks and have the student match them to the correct country on the map.

3. Passport Creation: Help the student create their own pretend passport with their name and picture.

  • "Did you know that people in different countries speak different languages? It's like a secret code!"
  • "Look at this big tower! It's called the Eiffel Tower and it's in France. Can you find France on the map?"
  • "Imagine flying in an airplane to visit all these amazing places. Whoosh!"
