Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn about the amazing human body and some of its parts!

Materials and Prep

Materials: Paper, crayons/markers, scissors

Prep: None

Activities

1. Draw and color a picture of your body. Label the different parts like head, arms, legs, etc.

2. Cut out pictures of different body parts from a magazine and paste them on a paper to create a collage.

3. Play a game of "Simon Says" where you can touch different body parts when instructed.

Talking Points

  • Our body is like a machine that helps us move, eat, and play. It's amazing!
  • Say: "Our head is where our brain lives. It helps us think and learn new things."
  • Say: "Our arms are like our helpers. We use them to hug, pick up toys, and wave hello."
  • Say: "Our legs are strong and help us walk, run, and jump. Let's do a little dance together!"
  • Say: "Our heart is like a pump that keeps us alive by sending blood all around our body. It goes thump-thump, thump-thump!"
