Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn about the different parts of your body and how they work together to help you move, play, and stay healthy.

Materials and Prep

  • Clear space for movement activities
  • Pen and paper for drawing
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity!

Activities

  • Move Like an Animal: Pretend to be different animals and move like them. How does a frog hop? How does a bird fly?
  • Draw Your Body: Sit in front of a mirror and draw a picture of yourself. Label your head, arms, legs, and tummy.
  • Simon Says Body Parts: Play a game of Simon Says where you touch different body parts when called out. "Simon says touch your nose!"

  • Your Body is Amazing: "Your body is like a superhero! It helps you run, jump, and play every day."
  • Parts of Your Body: "You have a head, arms, legs, and a tummy. Each part helps you do different things."
  • How Your Body Moves: "When you want to move, your brain sends messages to your muscles to help you run, jump, and dance."
  • Keeping Your Body Healthy: "Eating fruits and veggies, drinking water, and getting enough sleep helps your body stay strong and healthy."
