Talking Points
- Chicks come from eggs. When the chick is ready, it pecks its way out of the eggshell. You can say, "Chicks are born from eggs, just like how you were once a baby."
- Chicks need warmth to grow. They stay close to their mother or a heat source when they are young. You can say, "Chicks need warmth like we need blankets to stay cozy."
- Chicks eat chick feed for their growth. They also need water to stay hydrated. You can say, "Chicks eat special food to help them grow big and strong, just like how we need food to grow."
- Chicks love to explore and peck at things. They use their beaks to discover their surroundings. You can say, "Chicks are curious little creatures that like to investigate everything around them."
