  • Your favorite snack for a break!

Before the lesson, make sure your computer is charged and ready to go. Find a comfortable place to sit and learn.

Activities

2. Computer Parts Scavenger Hunt: Look at your computer or laptop and try to find the keyboard, mouse, screen, and speakers. Can you point to each part?

3. Create a Simple Drawing: Open a drawing app on your computer and create a simple drawing. You can draw your favorite animal or a fun shape!

Talking Points

  • Computers are like smart machines that can help us do many things. They can play games, show videos, and even help us learn new things! You can say, "Computers are like magic boxes that can do lots of fun stuff!"
  • Every computer has a screen where we can see pictures and words. The keyboard helps us type words, and the mouse helps us move things on the screen. You can say, "The screen is like a TV, and the keyboard is like a special typewriter!"
  • When we draw on a computer, we use a special tool called a drawing app. It's like having a magical paintbrush that never runs out of paint! You can say, "Drawing on a computer is like painting with colors that never get used up!"
