Objective

By the end of this lesson, your 1-year-old student will be able to identify and practice closing a pen.

Materials and Prep

• 1 Pen
• A safe area for the child to explore

No prior knowledge or preparation is needed for this lesson.

Activities

• Exploration Time: Allow the child to hold and explore the pen. Encourage them to touch and feel the different parts of the pen.
• Opening and Closing: Demonstrate how to open and close the pen. Let the child try to imitate the action.
• Practice Makes Perfect: Provide the child with more pens to practice opening and closing. Praise their efforts and progress.

• "Look, this is a pen. Can you hold it gently?"
• "See, mommy/daddy is opening the pen. Can you try to open it too?"
