By the end of this lesson, Mason will learn about the science behind long distance road trips and the unique features of Australia.

Materials and Prep

Before starting the lesson, make sure Mason has a basic understanding of maps and is curious about Australia.

Activities

  • 1. Plan Your Road Trip: Help Mason plan a long distance road trip across Australia on the map. Discuss the different landmarks and cities he would pass by.
  • 2. Research Fun Facts: Encourage Mason to research fun facts about Australian animals, geography, and culture. Have him write down or draw his favorite discoveries.
  • 3. Create a Travel Journal: Have Mason create a travel journal for his imaginary road trip. He can draw pictures, write stories, or make a scrapbook of his adventure.
