Materials and Prep
- Jack and the Beanstalk storybook
- Paper and crayons
- Small toy beanstalk or green construction paper
- Optional: small toy cow
No prior knowledge needed, just bring your imagination!
Activities
- Storytime: Read the story of Jack and the Beanstalk together. Act out the story with voices and movements.
- Draw and Color: Draw a giant beanstalk reaching up to the clouds. Color it with bright green and other colors.
- Beanstalk Hunt: Hide the toy beanstalk or green paper around the house for the child to find, just like Jack found the magic beans.
- Fe-Fi-Fo-Fun: Pretend to be a friendly giant. Use a deep voice and say "Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum, I smell the blood of a human!" and then laugh together.
