Activities
- Introduce the concept of colors in nature by showing the student different coloring pages of natural scenes.
- Discuss with the student how different colors can represent different elements found in Earth Science. For example, green can represent plants and forests, blue can represent water bodies like oceans and lakes, and brown can represent mountains and soil.
- Encourage the student to use their coloring materials to add colors to the coloring pages, focusing on using appropriate colors for each element.
- After coloring, ask the student to explain the choices they made for each color and connect it to the corresponding Earth Science element.
- Display the finished coloring pages and have a discussion about the importance of colors in nature and how they contribute to the beauty and balance of our planet.
