Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will understand the concept of place, its significance, and the factors that influence people's perceptions of different places.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: Pen, paper, computer with internet access.

Prep: Familiarize yourself with the concept of place and have an open mind to explore different perspectives.

Activities

1. Create a collage of images representing different places around the world. Write down what each image makes you think or feel about that place.

2. Watch a short video or documentary about a place you've never heard of before. Take notes on the geography, culture, and people of that place.

3. Interview a family member or friend about their favorite place they have visited. Ask them why it is significant to them.
