Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand and have fun with English, Math, Science, and Citizenship concepts!

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: Pen, paper, coloring pencils, a book, ruler, and a globe or map.

Prep: Make sure you have a quiet study space and are ready to have a great time learning!

Activities

  • English: Let's write a short story about an adventure you would like to go on. Use your imagination and be creative!

  • Math: Count the number of objects in your room and write the numbers down. Then, try to add them together!

  • Science: Go outside and observe the plants and insects around you. Draw a picture of what you see and label the parts.

  • Citizenship: Talk about what it means to be a good citizen. How can you help your family, friends, and community?

  • "In English, we can create our own stories using our imagination. What adventure would you like to go on if you could go anywhere?"
  • "In Math, we use numbers to count and add things together. Let's practice counting and adding the objects in your room."
  • "In Science, we can learn about plants and insects by observing them. What did you see outside today? Let's draw and label them!"
  • "In Citizenship, we talk about being a good citizen. How can you be helpful and kind to others in your family, with your friends, and in your community?"
