Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to effectively write using a whiteboard, improving your writing skills and creativity.
Materials and Prep
- A whiteboard
- Dry erase markers
- An eraser
- A cloth or tissue
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a clear space to work on, and ensure that the whiteboard is clean and ready to be used.
Activities
- Brainstorming: Start by brainstorming ideas for a story, poem, or any piece of writing you would like to create. Use the whiteboard to jot down your ideas and create a mind map.
- Drafting: Once you have your ideas organized, use the whiteboard to write your first draft. Experiment with different sentence structures and vocabulary choices.
- Editing and Revising: Use a different colored marker to go through your draft and make any necessary edits or revisions. You can also ask for feedback from a parent or sibling.
- Finalizing: Once you are satisfied with your revised draft, rewrite the final version on the whiteboard. Pay attention to neatness and legibility.
- Presentation: Share your final piece with someone else. You can read it aloud or ask them to read it silently. Discuss what you liked about your writing and any areas you feel could be improved.
