Materials and Prep

Materials needed: paper, crayons/markers, scissors, and any flowers or pictures of flowers you have at home.

Activities

• Counting Petals: Pick a flower and count the number of petals it has. Draw the flower and write down the number of petals.
• Colorful Patterns: Use different colored crayons to create a pattern inspired by the colors of a flower. For example, red, yellow, red, yellow, repeat.
• Measure with Flowers: Use flowers to measure different objects in your house. How many flowers tall is your toy car?
• Adding Flower Bouquets: Draw several flower bouquets and write a number sentence to add them together. For example, 3 bouquets + 2 bouquets = ?
