Objective

By the end of this lesson, Milly Rose will be able to prepare a simple Italian dish independently.

Materials and Prep

  • Ingredients for spaghetti aglio e olio (spaghetti, garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes, parsley)
  • Cooking utensils (pot, pan, spatula, knife, cutting board)
  • Basic kitchen safety knowledge

Activities

  • Activity 1: Prepare the Ingredients
    Milly Rose will practice chopping garlic and parsley, and boiling spaghetti.
  • Activity 2: Cooking the Dish
    Guided by an adult, Milly Rose will sauté garlic in olive oil, add red pepper flakes, toss in cooked spaghetti, and garnish with parsley.
  • Activity 3: Plating and Presentation
    Milly Rose will plate the spaghetti aglio e olio creatively and take a photo for her cooking portfolio.
