Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and say the names of different trucks in English and a fun foreign language.

Materials and Prep

• Toy trucks
• Imagination!

Activities

• Truck Parade: Line up the toy trucks and have a parade around the room, saying the names of each truck in both English and the chosen foreign language.
• Truck Race: Set up a race course and have the student race the trucks while saying the names in both languages.
• Truck Show and Tell: Have the student pick a favorite truck and describe it in both languages, using simple words like big, red, fast, etc.

Talking Points

• "What color is this truck?" - "This truck is red!"
• "Can you show me the fire truck?" - "Yes, the fire truck is here!"
• "Let's race the blue truck!" - "Go blue truck, go!"
