- Books or videos about animal families and cats
Activities
- Small World Play: Set up a small world play scene with cat families and encourage the student to create stories and interactions between the animals.
- Animal Family Drawing: Have the student draw different animal families, including cats, and discuss the characteristics of each family.
- Music Time: Play different music pieces and ask the student to move like different animals, including cats, to the music.
- Cat Family Story: Create a story together about a cat family's adventure and ask the student to add their own ideas to the story.
Talking Points
- Animal Families: "Families can be different, just like animals. Cats have families too, with a mommy cat, a daddy cat, and little kittens."
- Music and Movement: "Music can make us feel like dancing! Let's move like cats and pretend to be sneaky and playful."
- Imagination and Creativity: "When we play with toy animals, we can create our own stories and adventures. What do you think this cat family is doing today?"
- Learning about Cats: "Cats are very curious animals. They like to explore and play. What do you think a day in the life of a cat is like?"
