Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn how to climb a climbing dome confidently and safely.

Materials and Prep

  • Comfortable clothing for movement
  • Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
  • Water bottle for hydration
  • An outdoor climbing dome or jungle gym

No prior climbing experience required. Just bring your enthusiasm and energy!

Activities

  • Warm-up: Start with a fun game of tag or a short jog around the climbing dome to get your body ready.
  • Practice Climbing: Begin by climbing up the dome using both your hands and feet. Take it slow and focus on your grip.
  • Climbing Challenges: Try different routes on the dome, such as only using certain color bars or climbing sideways.
  • Race to the Top: Challenge yourself to climb to the top of the dome as fast as you can while still being safe.
  • Cool Down: Finish the lesson with some stretching exercises to relax your muscles.
