Objective

By the end of this lesson, your child will be able to recognize numbers and practice counting using their favorite cars.

Materials and Prep

  • Toy cars (various colors and sizes)
  • Large paper with numbers written on them
  • Marker
  • Clear space for playing

No prior knowledge required. Just bring your enthusiasm for learning!

Activities

  • Car Race Counting: Line up the toy cars and ask your child to count them as they race each other.
  • Number Parking: Place the paper numbers on the floor and ask your child to park the cars on the corresponding numbers.
  • Car Color Sorting: Sort the cars by color and count how many cars are in each group.

Talking Points

  • "Let's count the cars together! One, two, three... Can you count with me?"
  • "Which number is this? Can you find the matching car to park on it?"
  • "Let's put all the red cars together. How many red cars do we have?"
