Objective

By the end of this lesson, Alfie will be able to identify different types of cars and their colors, and describe their movements.

Materials and Prep

  • Toy cars of different colors
  • Open space for playing

No prior knowledge needed, just enthusiasm for cars!

Activities

  • Car Color Match: Line up the toy cars and ask Alfie to match them to their respective colors.
  • Race Time: Have a mini race with the cars and let Alfie describe how each car moves (fast, slow, zig-zag, etc).
  • Car Wash: Use a wet cloth to "wash" the cars, discussing the concept of cleaning and taking care of things.

Talking Points

  • Quotation: "Look Alfie, this is a red car! Can you find another red car?"
  • Quotation: "Oh, the blue car is going so fast! Zoom zoom!"
  • Quotation: "Let's clean the cars now. Washing them makes them shiny and new!"
