Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Picture books about snails
  • Coloring materials
  • Empty snail shell (if available)

No prior knowledge needed, just curiosity and enthusiasm!

Activities

  • Read a picture book about snails together. Point out the shell, eyes, and slime trail.
  • Color a snail coloring page. Talk about the colors of the shell and body.
  • If you have an empty snail shell, let your child touch and explore it gently. Talk about its texture and shape.

  • “Snails are small creatures with shells on their backs. They move very slowly.”
  • “Snails have eyes on the ends of their tentacles to help them see where they are going.”
