Materials and Prep

Materials needed: paper, crayons or markers, a small plant or flower (real or fake), and a recycling bin.

Prep: Set up a small area for drawing and have the plant/flower and recycling bin ready for use.

Activities

• Draw a picture of your favorite animal in its natural habitat. Talk about why it's important to protect animals and their homes.

• Take care of the plant or flower by watering it gently. Discuss how plants help clean the air we breathe.

• Sort items from around the house into the recycling bin. Explain why recycling is important for the Earth.
