Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a fun and challenging obstacle course using items found around your home.
Materials and Prep
Materials needed: chairs, pillows, hula hoops, jump ropes, cones (or any other household items that can be used for obstacles).
Make sure you have a clear space to set up the obstacle course.
Activities
- Obstacle Course Design: Use chairs as tunnels, pillows to jump over, hula hoops to step in and out of, jump ropes to hop over, and cones to weave around.
- Practice Run: Walk through the obstacle course first to plan your route and then try to complete it as fast as you can.
- Race Against Time: Time yourself as you go through the course multiple times, trying to beat your previous times.
- Obstacle Course Challenge: Challenge a family member to go through the course and see who can complete it faster.
