Objective

By the end of this lesson, Jyemeka will have engaged in fun and educational activities in Art, English, Foreign Language, History, Math, Music, and Science while enjoying the outdoors and managing sensory overload effectively.

Materials and Prep

Materials: None required

Prep: Find a quiet outdoor space with minimal distractions and prepare activities accordingly.

Activities

1. Art: Nature Drawing - Encourage Jyemeka to observe and draw the natural surroundings using different colors and textures found outside.

2. English: Storytelling - Have Jyemeka create a story inspired by the outdoor environment, using her imagination and descriptive language.

3. Foreign Language: Nature Vocabulary - Teach Jyemeka simple words related to nature in a foreign language of her choice, such as "tree," "flower," or "sky."

4. History: Outdoor Scavenger Hunt - Create a scavenger hunt with historical clues related to the outdoor location, making learning history fun and interactive.

5. Math: Nature Patterns - Explore patterns in nature like leaf arrangements, flower petals, or tree bark, and have Jyemeka identify and recreate them.

6. Music: Nature Sounds - Listen to the sounds of nature and create a musical composition inspired by what she hears using body percussion or simple instruments.

7. Science: Plant Observation - Study different plants in the outdoor space, noting their characteristics, colors, and shapes, and learn about their importance in the ecosystem.
