Materials and Prep

Materials needed: toy chickens or pictures of chickens, crayons, paper, and a book about chickens.

Prep: Set up a pretend chicken coop area with the toy chickens and paper for drawing.

Activities

  • Draw Your Own Chicken: Use the crayons and paper to draw your own colorful chicken!

  • Play with Toy Chickens: Pretend to feed and take care of the toy chickens in the coop area.

  • Read a Chicken Book: Listen to a story about chickens and learn more about them.

  • Chickens say "cluck, cluck"! They are birds that lay eggs.

  • Chickens need food, water, and a cozy coop to live happily.
