Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will have created your very own beautiful wind chime to hang outside your home!

Materials and Prep

Materials needed:

  • 6 metal bottle caps
  • String or yarn
  • Paints and brushes
  • Scissors
  • Clear nail polish (optional for sealing)

No prior knowledge is needed for this lesson, just a willingness to have fun and be creative!

Activities

  • Painting the Bottle Caps: Use the paints and brushes to decorate the bottle caps in any colors and designs you like.
  • Stringing the Bottle Caps: Cut equal lengths of string and thread them through the bottle caps. Tie knots at the ends to secure them in place.
  • Hanging and Enjoying: Hang your wind chime outside where it can catch the breeze and make beautiful sounds.
