Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create your own Trevor Creatures using basic art materials and understand the importance of creativity and imagination in the visual arts.
Materials and Prep
- Construction paper
- Markers or crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
- Magazines or newspapers for inspiration
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a clean and organized workspace. Also, gather some magazines or newspapers that you can use for inspiration when creating your Trevor Creatures.
Activities
- Introduction: Begin by showing the student pictures or illustrations of Trevor Creatures from the magazines or newspapers. Discuss what makes them unique and interesting.
- Brainstorming: Encourage the student to use their imagination and think about what kind of Trevor Creature they would like to create. Ask questions like "What color will your Trevor Creature be?" or "What kind of features will it have?"
- Creating the Trevor Creature: Provide the student with construction paper, markers or crayons, scissors, and glue. Let them cut out different shapes and colors to create their Trevor Creature. Encourage them to be creative and have fun with it.
- Presenting and Describing: Once the Trevor Creature is complete, ask the student to present it to you. Have them describe their creation, explaining why they made certain choices and what they like most about it.
