Materials and Prep

Materials needed: water, different containers (cups, bowls, bottles), ice cubes (optional)

Prep: None required

Activities

  • Water Exploration: Let the student play with water in different containers. Talk about how water feels and looks.
  • Splish Splash: Show the student how to splash water gently. Encourage them to make different splashing sounds.
  • Ice Play: If you have ice cubes, let the student touch and observe how they melt in their hands.

Talking Points

  • "Water is clear and wet. Can you feel the water on your hands?"
  • "When we splash water, it makes a fun sound. Let's make a big splash together!"
  • "Look, the ice is cold and hard. What happens when we hold it in our hands?"
