Materials and Prep
Materials Needed:
- A pair of rollerblades
- Helmet
- Knee and elbow pads
- Flat, smooth surface for skating
Before the lesson, make sure your rollerblades are properly fitted and all safety gear is worn correctly.
Activities
1. Warm-up: Start with a light jog or jumping jacks to get your muscles warmed up.
2. Practice Balancing: Stand still on your rollerblades and practice balancing on one foot at a time.
3. Forward Skating: Practice rolling forward using proper stance and balance.
4. Turning Drills: Practice making controlled turns by leaning your body in the direction you want to turn.
5. Speed Control: Practice controlling your speed by using the brake on your rollerblades.
