Objective

Materials and Prep

Activities
- Research: Have the student research famous leaders throughout history who had a strong connection to visual arts. They should find at least three examples and write a short paragraph about each leader and their artistic endeavors.
- Artistic Expression: Ask the student to create a visual representation of a leader they admire. They can use any art medium they prefer, such as drawing, painting, or collage. Encourage them to think about how they can communicate the qualities and values of the leader through their artwork.
- Reflection: After completing their artwork, have the student write a reflective paragraph explaining the choices they made in their artistic representation. They should discuss the specific elements they used to convey the leader's characteristics and how they believe their artwork communicates those qualities to others.
