Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will have fun while learning different ways to move your body and stay active!

Materials and Prep

  • Comfortable clothing to move in
  • An open space to move around in

No prior knowledge needed, just bring your energy and enthusiasm!

Activities

  • Dance Party: Put on your favorite music and dance like nobody's watching! Move your body in different ways and have fun.
  • Animal Imitation: Pretend to be different animals (like a frog jumping or a bird flying) and move like them around the room.
  • Obstacle Course: Create a simple obstacle course using pillows, chairs, and other objects. Move through it by crawling, jumping, and balancing.

Talking Points

  • Our bodies need exercise to stay healthy: "Just like how we need food to grow, our bodies need exercise to stay healthy and strong."
  • Exercise can be fun: "Exercise doesn't have to be boring! We can play games and dance to keep our bodies moving."
  • Different ways to move: "There are so many ways we can move our bodies - jumping, crawling, dancing, and more! It's fun to try them all."
  • Listen to your body: "It's important to listen to our bodies. If something hurts or feels uncomfortable, we should stop and take a break."
