Objective
By the end of this lesson, Audrey will be able to plan, create, and revise written texts for imaginative purposes using text features, sentence-level grammar, punctuation, and word-level language for a target audience.
Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Pencils or pens

No prior knowledge needed, just come ready to have fun with writing!
Activities
- Story Starters: Provide Audrey with a few story starters and have her choose one to develop into a full story. Encourage her to use descriptive language and dialogue.
- Illustrated Stories: Ask Audrey to create a story and then illustrate it. This will help her visualize her ideas and engage multiple senses in the storytelling process.
- Editing Fun: Have Audrey create a short story and then challenge her to find and correct as many grammar and punctuation mistakes as she can. Make it a game!
