Talking Points
- Words are like magic! They help us share our thoughts and feelings. Can you tell me a word you really like?
- There are different kinds of words. Some are simple like "dog" (tier 1), some are more interesting like "puzzled" (tier 2), and some are super special like "photosynthesis" (tier 3). Can you think of a word that is new to you?
- When we use new words in our writing or speaking, it makes our stories more exciting and helps others understand us better. Can you tell me a story using one of your new words?
- It's like building with blocks! Tier 1 words are like the basic blocks, tier 2 words are like the colorful blocks, and tier 3 words are like the shiny, special blocks. Can you build me a sentence using all three types of words?
