Activities

  • Hunting Safety: Practice handling a prop gun safely, learn about the importance of gun safety rules.
  • Target Practice: Set up targets in the backyard and practice aiming and shooting with a toy bow and arrow or a nerf gun.
  • Nature Walk: Take a walk in the woods or a park, observe wildlife, and discuss the importance of respecting nature.
  • Wildlife Identification: Study pictures of common game animals and birds, learn to identify them by their tracks and sounds.

  • Hunting Safety: "Always treat a gun as if it is loaded. Never point a gun at something you don't intend to shoot."
  • Target Practice: "Remember to keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Practice aiming at the center of the target."
