Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Coloring pencils or markers
  • Access to the internet or books about planets

No prior knowledge needed, just come with a curious mind!

Activities

  • Planet Coloring: Print out or draw pictures of the planets and color them in. You can make them as realistic or as creative as you want!
  • Planet Research: Choose one planet to research. Find out its size, distance from the sun, and any interesting facts about it. Present your findings to your family!
  • Planet Scavenger Hunt: Create a scavenger hunt around your house or backyard where you hide planet facts or pictures of planets. Have your family find them and learn along the way!

  • Making it Fun: "Learning about planets can be so exciting! Did you know that some planets are super hot, while others are freezing cold?"
  • Sizes of Planets: "Imagine if we could line up all the planets in our solar system. Some are giant like Jupiter, while others are small like Mercury!"
