By the end of this lesson, the student will have created a personalized daily routine that incorporates their interests and responsibilities, fostering a sense of structure and accomplishment in their daily life.
Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Pencil or pen
- Timer (can be a phone or clock)
- Optional: A comfortable space to write and reflect
Before the lesson, think about what activities and responsibilities are important to you. Consider your daily habits and what you would like to include in your routine.
Activities
-
Reflection Time:
Spend 10-15 minutes reflecting on your current daily habits. Write down what you enjoy doing, what you wish you had more time for, and any responsibilities you need to incorporate into your routine.
-
Brainstorming Session:
List out all the activities you would like to include in your routine. Think about different categories such as personal care, hobbies, exercise, and social time. Aim for a mix of productive and enjoyable activities.
-
Creating Your Routine:
Using the lists from the previous activities, start drafting a daily routine. Break your day into segments (morning, afternoon, evening) and allocate time for each activity. Be flexible and realistic about how much time each task will take.
-
Test Your Routine:
Choose one day to follow your new routine. Use a timer to help you stay on track. At the end of the day, reflect on what worked well and what you might want to adjust for the future.
