Activities

- Read Aloud: Read a picture book about cars to the student. Pause occasionally to ask questions and engage in discussions about the story.
- Story Retelling: After reading the book, ask the student to retell the story in their own words. Encourage them to use complete sentences and include important details.
- Draw and Write: Provide the student with paper and pencil. Ask them to draw their favorite car from the story and write a sentence or two describing it. Remind them to use their knowledge of letters and sounds to write phonetically.
- Share and Discuss: Allow the student to share their drawing and writing with you. Ask questions about their favorite car and why they chose it. Discuss any interesting details they included in their writing.
