Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will understand the basic life cycle of a human, including the stages from baby to adult, and will be able to describe each stage in simple terms.
Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Crayons or markers
- Space to move around
Before the lesson, be ready to explain the stages of human life in a fun and engaging way. Think about how to relate each stage to the child's own experiences.
Activities
-
Drawing the Life Cycle: Have the student draw the different stages of human life on a piece of paper. They can draw a baby, a child, a teenager, and an adult. Encourage them to use different colors for each stage.
-
Movement Game: Create a fun game where the student acts out each stage of life. For example, they can crawl like a baby, walk like a child, run like a teenager, and stand tall like an adult. This helps them physically engage with the lesson.
-
Story Time: Make up a short story about a character growing up. Include different challenges and fun moments they experience at each stage. Ask the student to help you come up with ideas for the story!
Talking Points
- "Did you know we all start as tiny babies? Babies need a lot of care!"
- "After being a baby, we grow into little kids, just like you! What do you love to do as a kid?"
- "When we get a bit older, we become teenagers. Teenagers start to think more about their own ideas!"
- "Finally, we become adults! Adults have jobs and take care of families. What do you want to be when you grow up?"
