Objective

By the end of this lesson, Cyrus will be able to build a simple Lego structure using his creativity and problem-solving skills. He will also learn about basic shapes and how they fit together to create larger structures.

Materials and Prep

• Assorted Lego bricks (various shapes and sizes)
• A flat surface to build on
• Optional: A timer for timed challenges

Before starting, make sure all Lego pieces are clean and sorted for easy access. Have a designated building area ready for Cyrus to work comfortably.

Activities

• Shape Hunt: Cyrus will search for different shapes within his Lego collection. He can find squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles. This activity will help him recognize shapes and understand how they can be combined.

• Build a Dream House: Cyrus will use his imagination to design and build his dream house. Encourage him to think about different rooms, colors, and features he wants in his house.

• Timed Building Challenge: Set a timer for 5 minutes and challenge Cyrus to build the tallest tower he can. This will encourage him to think quickly and creatively while building.

• Story Time with Legos: After building, Cyrus can create a short story about his Lego creation. He can tell you about who lives in the house or what adventures the Lego characters go on.
