Objective

By the end of this lesson, Gabriella will understand how science and the Bible can work together to explain the world around us. She will learn about creation, the importance of nature, and how God made everything with a purpose.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and crayons or markers
  • A comfortable space for storytelling and activities
  • Access to a Bible (or printed verses)
  • Knowledge of the Creation story from Genesis 1

Activities

  • Creation Story Time:

Read Genesis 1 together and discuss how God created the world in six days. Ask Gabriella what her favorite part of creation is and why.

  • Nature Walk:

Go outside for a short walk and observe the plants, animals, and sky. Encourage Gabriella to draw her favorite thing she sees in nature.

  • Creation Collage:

Using the drawings from the nature walk, help Gabriella create a collage that represents the beauty of God's creation. Discuss how each part of creation is special.

  • Science Experiment:

Conduct a simple experiment like planting a seed in a cup. Talk about how God created plants to grow and how they need water and sunlight.
