Activities
- Create a Minecraft world
- Explore the world
- Identify and label geographical features
- Create a geographical map
- Compare with real-world maps
Using the Minecraft game, create a new world or load an existing one.
Use the game controls to navigate and explore the Minecraft world, paying attention to different geographical features such as mountains, rivers, forests, and deserts.
As you explore, pause at different locations and identify the geographical features you come across. Use signs or other in-game tools to label these features.
Using the knowledge gained from exploring and labeling, create a map of the Minecraft world, highlighting the various geographical features.
Research real-world maps and compare them with the Minecraft map you created. Discuss similarities and differences between the two.
