Activities

  • Role-Playing Bus Safety

Set up a pretend bus using chairs or cushions. Have the student practice boarding and exiting the bus safely. Discuss where to stand while waiting for the bus and how to stay clear of the bus when it is moving.

  • Safety Rules Poster

Have the student create a colorful poster that lists important school bus safety rules. Encourage them to draw pictures or use stickers to illustrate each rule. This will help reinforce what they’ve learned.

  • Bus Safety Song

Make up a fun song about bus safety together. Use a familiar tune and add in the safety rules. Singing will help the student remember the rules better!

  • Safety Scenario Game

Present different scenarios related to bus safety and ask the student what they would do in each situation. For example, "What should you do if you drop something near the bus?" This encourages critical thinking about safety.
